Whalers Watch Bed and Breakfast offers accommodation in a private unit, and a private wing in our home, beautifully located close to the lovely fishing village of St. Helens in Tasmania. With panoramic views of the magnificent Georges Bay, you are only a seven minute drive to the pristine beaches and coastline of the word renowned Bay of Fires, and Binalong Bay. A short three minute drive takes you to St. Helens, where you can enjoy the local restaurants, cafés and shopping. There are two fresh live oyster farms less than two minutes drive away.
Just sit back on the outside deck and experience the taste of fresh Tasmanian oysters and a glass of Tasmanian wine overlooking the magnificent view. Birds and wallabies often visit close by.
We are based in an ideal position for exploring St. Columbia Falls, the Pyengana Cheese Factory and Holy Cow Café, and the famous pig which lives at the Pub in the Paddock. There are many walks with secular white beaches and red lichen covered boulders. Great places to go bushwalking, cycling, fishing, diving and snorkeling are available.
Our price includes a continental breakfast provision in the Private Unit, which is left in your unit for you to enjoy at your leisure. Also in both the Private Unit and the West Wing are tea and coffee making facilities, home-made cookies and jam made from local fruit. The Private Unit is self-catering, and features a fully equipped kitchen, so you really are totally independent. The West Wing has tea/coffee making facilities only.
